Trump: ‘I Think That the People Would Revolt’ If I Were Impeached

President Donald Trump spoke with Reuters today and sounded off on Michael Cohen‘s payments to Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougal.
And Trump, per Reuters’ Jeff Mason said he “relied on” Cohen regarding “what we did”:
EXCLUSIVE – @realDonaldTrump says he relied on Michael Cohen, who should have known what to do about payments to women. “Number one, it wasn’t a campaign contribution. If it were, it’s only civil, and even if it’s only civil, there was no violation based on what we did. OK?”

Many legal analysts reacted to the SDNY sentencing memo for Cohen by saying prosecutors directly stated the President committed a crime with his lawyer with the payments.
And in the past day or so, there’s been talk of impeachment, but Trump said he’s “not concerned” about it:
“It’s hard to impeach somebody who hasn’t done anything wrong and who’s created the greatest economy in the history of our country.”
The President added, “I think that the people would revolt if that happened.”
Pres Trump on prospect of impeachment: “I’m not concerned, no. I think that the people would revolt if that happened. What I’ve done is tax cuts, Supreme Court justices, close to a hundred judges, regulation cuts, and created the greatest economy in the history of our country.”
