Trump: ‘The Democrats Will Bring a Lawsuit’ if Cruz is GOP Nominee

GOP frontrunner Donald Trump appeared on MSNBC Live today to chat with Thomas Roberts about the Ted Cruz birther drama. Just when we thought nothing more could be said on the subject, Trump stirred the pot, claiming that if Cruz is the nominee, the Democrats will sue.

“There are many lawyers who say he can’t run for president,” said Trump, who leads in the polls while Cruz continues to slowly close the gap between them. “And the Democrats are going to bring a lawsuit. I know many Democrats. They’re bringing a lawsuit as soon as — if he got the nomination, they’d bring a lawsuit that he’s not eligible to run.”

Trump then reminded Roberts that Cruz had dual citizenship in Canada up until recently. Watch the video above for the latest installment in the saga.
