Twitter Beef Between Jake Tapper and Breitbart Troll John Nolte Heats Up
Jake Tapper has found himself in the center of an unexpected firestorm after Daily Caller wrote a series of misleading stories regarding the CNN anchor, implicating that he praised NYC terror suspect Sayfullo Saipov for using the phrase “Allahu Akbar.”
This, predictably, caused Fox News, Breitbart and many other right-leaning media outlets to pile on Tapper. Leading the pack was Breitbart’s John Nolte. He penned a vitriolic and frankly bizarre editorial against the reporter, claiming Tapper was having a “meltdown” and, in true Trumpian fashion, referred to him as a “failing, left-wing anchor.”
Tapper took to Twitter to defend himself and issued a tweetstorm that is one for the ages, starting by insinuating that Nolte has an unhealthy obsession with him.

Tapper may be on to something. A quick scroll down Nolte’s Twitter feed will net you gems like the below tweet, which was posted multiple times.

As a matter of fact, many of the Breitbart writer’s tweets and retweets make reference to Tapper. Strange, right?
On the other hand, Tapper really did lay into Nolte during this tweetstorm. Check out this one, in which he suggested Nolte regularly goes out of his way to attack the CNN anchor, even when the facts do not corroborate his claims.

CNN’s Oliver Darcy even got involved, reminding Nolte that it wasn’t so long ago that he expressed admiration for Tapper.

Nolte did not take kindly to the dredging up of old articles, despite having written them, cruelly lashing out at Darcy.

As of this writing, Nolte hasn’t directly replied to Tapper’s tweets, but this recent rebuttal should give him a nice kick in the, uh, crotch.
