Twitter CEO Concern Trolls Iranian President Rouhani
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani (and selected staff) is quite the tweeter, and was busy Thursday morning live tweeting his opinions on ISIS and geopolitics from the U.N. General Assembly — which seemed to Twitter CEO Dick Costolo like a perfect opportunity to ask:
.@HassanRouhani
Mr. President, enjoying your Tweets from the UN. We would love the Iranian people to enjoy them as well. When will that be?
— dick costolo (@dickc) September 25, 2014
Thus far Rouhani has not responded.
Costolo’s tweet is not the first time a Twitter bigwig has confronted Rouhani over Iranian Twitter access, though the answers thus far have been underwhelming. This, meanwhile, seems like a dream.
Sidebar: perhaps Rouhani was the “someone unknown” who mixed up the House and the Senate in Donald Trump’s tweet Monday? As likely as anyone else.
