Two Florida Men Arrested For Allegedly Stealing And Killing A Family’s Pet Turkey For Thanksgiving
People steal dogs and cats all the time, but rarely do they do so for the express purpose of eating them for dinner. Sadly for one Florida family, their pet turkey was abducted and killed for someone else’s dinner. Jacob Provo and Joshua Anderson were arrested for killing Tom the turkey, and confessed that they wanted to eat the bird for their Thanksgiving dinner.
Tom’s family saw him missing Monday morning, and when they reviewed the footage from a security camera on their property, they noticed one person stealing the turkey and another running near the fence.
Provo and Anderson were picked up by the police en route with the turkey. They provided the police with an account of what happened.
Provo initially told a deputy that he had killed the bird in Milton, according to the report.
But after questioning, Provo told deputies that he had entered the Caponis’ property armed with a bow and arrow. He said he went into the pen where Tom was and shot him with an arrow, the arrest report said.
Anderson told officers that he was accompanying Provo when the turkey was killed, the report said.
A bow and arrow? Looks like these are the real Hunger Games…
