Video Reveals Large Al Qaeda Gathering Pledging Future Attacks in America

A newly revealed video features members of Al Qaeda in Yemen gathering out in the open and displaying a brazen lack of concern for possible military reprisals. The video first appeared on jihadist websites and was reported on by CNN on Tuesday.

The video features Nasir al-Wuhayshi, identified as Al Qaeda’s second in command globally and the head of Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, delivering a fiery speech advocating for future attacks on the United States.

“We must eliminate the cross,” al-Wuhayshi declares. “The bearer of the cross is America.”

“U.S. officials either didn’t know about it, or couldn’t get a drone there in time to strike,” CNN’s Barbara Starr reported. She revealed that American security officials regard the video as authentic.
