Wait, What? Colin Powell Appears Alongside Jamie Foxx and Ellen Degeneres

Nearly 12 hours after appearing on CBS Face the Nation, former Secretary of State Colin Powell popped up at… the AfroPunk Fest 2013 Apollo in the Hamptons.

It’s unclear the circumstances surrounding his cameo, but Powell was photographed by The Roots drummer Questlove during his DJ set, standing on-stage alongside Jamie Foxx, Pharrell Williams, Ellen Degeneres, and Katie Holmes.

Q-love snapped the pic and posted it to Instagram. That’s Powell on the left:

So, yeah. “Wait, what?” is the appropriate reaction.

Powell looks like he’s in the middle of that classic dance move we all know as “awkward uncle at the wedding.” Though you know his dance moves are nowhere near as terrible as those of his former Bush administration colleague Karl “MC Rove” Rove.
