WATCH: Americans Can’t Answer the Easiest Questions on Citizenship Test

 

If you want to become a citizen of the United States, you have to study for and pass a big test with facts about American history and the functions of the U.S. government. But let’s face it, a lot of people born as American citizens don’t know the answers to those questions, as a new video from the Immigrant Archive Project shows.

The questions tested Americans’ knowledge of things like who the vice president is, how many Supreme Court justices there are, how many amendments to the Constitution there are, what we bought from France in 1803, and who wrote the Declaration of Independence (and no, Nicolas Cage only stole it, he didn’t write it).

And before you get all up on your high horse and post “‘MURICA” in the comments: how many did you know?
