It would seem to be a basic tenet of Broadcasting 101 that one should not walk off during a live telecast to use the bathroom. But as a coach, Les Miles was never one for doing things by the book. And it appears he’s going to broadcast the same way.

During Thursday night’s “Film Room” broadcast of the Ohio State vs. Indiana game, the former LSU head coach appeared very uncomfortable during the show’s closing segment — shifting around awkwardly in his chair.

And then he announced he had to go.

“I’m gonna use the restroom,” Miles said to his broadcast partners. “I’ll see you in a minute.”

Everyone on set cracked up as Miles just darted up and went out in search of a bathroom. His mic was still hot as he asked someone off set where the bathroom is located.

“Is there a restroom? I gotta…” Miles said.

Worse yet, Miles missed the end of the show. The broadcast wrapped one minute later. Come on, Les. You couldn’t hold it for one minute?
