Watch Live Coverage of Hurricane Matthew Hitting Florida
Hurricane Matthew is approaching the south-eastern coast of the United States, and Florida and Georgia are both launching efforts to bunker down before it hits.
The storm has already passed through Haiti and the Bahamas, where it produced heavy rain and wind speeds reaching 115 mph. The storm is projected to reach the U.S. on Thursday, where evacuation plans and emergency measures have been put into effect.
Twenty-Five people have been reported dead from the storm surge, and Florida governor Rick Scott made an announcement this morning to warn the public to take all necessary precautions.
President Obama has already declared a state of emergency in Florida and ordered federal aid to be sent there.
