WATCH LIVE: Pence, Ryan to Speak at John McCain Memorial Service in Capitol Rotunda

The U.S. Capitol is holding a ceremony today to honor the life of John McCain after his passing last week.

The ceremonies will begin at 11:00 A.M., during which, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, House Speaker Paul Ryan, Vice President Mike Pence will be among those giving speeches in recognition of the senator’s lifetime of public service. After the formal proceedings conclude at 2:00 P.M., McCain will lie in state at the Capitol Rotunda, where the public will be allowed to approach his casket and pay their last respects.

Today’s events will be followed by a Washington National Cathedral service tomorrow, where McCain’s family, friends and political peers will commemorate his legacy. After that, the senator will finally be lain to rest on Sunday at the U.S. Naval Academy’s Cemetery grounds.
