WATCH: Megyn Kelly Confronts Tom Arnold Over Claim He Assaulted Actress Roma Downey in Fiery Collision
Tuesday on NBC, Megyn Kelly confronted Tom Arnold over an allegation of physical assault lodged against the actor — in a segment which went totally off the rails.
As part of his recent altercation with Apprentice creator Mark Burnett at an Emmy Awards party, actor Tom Arnold was alleged to have physically assaulted actress Roma Downey — with the actress claiming she got a sizable bruise on her hand from Arnold.

“Did you cause that bruise?” Kelly asked Arnold.
The actor laughed off the claim.
“Roma Downey’s like, ‘Julie Chen, hold my beer,'” he said.
The joke drew condemnation from Kelly.
“Stop that, Tom,” Kelly said. She added, “Don’t disparage her in personal terms. Or Julie Chen, for that matter.”
“She said I assaulted her publicly,” Arnold replied. “That’s disparaging me.”
Arnold went on to make another joke about the alleged incident.
“That woman was Touched By An Angel on TV, right?” He said — referencing Downey’s role on the longtime CBS series. “Now, she’s touched by Tom Arnold. She’s touched by the devil right there!
The audience laughed. Kelly was not as receptive to the joke.
“Listen, it’s all fun and games,” Kelly said.
“It’s not fun and games!” Arnold said.
“Let’s be honest,” the host replied. “If you did assault her as she claims, it’s no laughing matter.”
“She said that I assaulted her is no damn laughing matter, Megyn!”
The confrontation only grew more heated from there.
“If you defend [Brett] Kavanaugh and those guys, maybe you defend me for one second,” Arnold said.
“No I won’t,” Kelly shot back. “And I am not defending Kavanaugh…I will set the record straight…what I want is a fair hearing for Kavanaugh and his accuser.”
