White House Website Has a Special Shutdown Message for You…

The government shutdown has had a bit of an odd digital impact. For one thing, Michelle Obama‘s tweets will be… limited! And the White House is going all-out to make the public aware of what’s going on. Case in point, when you go to the White House website, you end up getting this message:

Now if they could just get this message popping up on Facebook, BuzzFeed, and Instagram, more people would start caring.

UPDATE 12:12 A.M.: The White House petition site, We the People, has also been taken down, because apparently the one time people really need the government listening to what they have to say is the hardest time for them to actually be heard.
