Wife of Comedian Patton Oswalt Found Dead in LA Home
The wife of Patton Oswalt was found dead in her Los Angeles home this morning, and reports are now indicating that she may have died in her sleep Thursday night.
Michelle McNamara, who had an impressive career as a crime writer and author before founding the website True Crime Diary, was 46-years-old.
According to The Hollywood Reporter:
In a 2007 online interview, McNamara said she started the blog almost as a lark. “I wanted to get more involved in the cases that were fueling my own curiosity,” she said.
She didn’t focus on the big celebrity murder cases but ones that were smaller and out of the public eye. She wrote about the Golden State Killer and the 1976 murder of nurse Melanie Howell.
McNamara leaves behind her husband and their 7-year-old Alice. Many celebrities took to Twitter to offer their condolences to Oswalt and his family, remembering McNamara’s life and career:
