Wow: Senator Realizes Too Late He’s Shown Up to the Wrong Hearing

This is one of the most unintentionally hilarious things ever to come out of the halls of Congress. Senator Dan Coats showed up at an appropriations subcommittee hearing Wednesday, but there was just one problem: he went to the wrong one. Feel free to make your own old-man jokes here…

Coats asked a question of the person testifying at the hearing, only to be handed a slip of paper and saying, “I just got a note saying I’m at the wrong hearing. I’ve got the right room number, but the wrong hearing.”

All that moment needed to be any more awkward was this music.
