‘DeSanctimonious And Birdbrain Did NOTHING. MAGA!!!’ Trump Goes Ballistic On Republican Iowa Gov. Over DeSantis
Donald Trump flipped out on Republican Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds Sunday over her endorsement of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis after the two opened a new DeSantis campaign HQ the same day Trump held a rally in the state.
Trump on Sunday first posted a meme video on his Truth Social account showing Reynolds praising him in the past, with the sarcastic message “Thank you, Governor Reynolds for being so loyal. MAGA!”
Reynolds officially endorsed DeSantis two weeks ago. Trump and MAGA have been on the attack against the governor for remaining neutral in the primary for months, and of course became even more enraged when she endorsed the Florida governor and incensed over her joining DeSantis for a Saturday campaign event ahead of his own rally.
“Kim Reynolds of Iowa has gone from a popular Governor to the MOST UNPOPULAR GOVERNOR IN THE UNITED STATES, not an easy feat,” Trump raged in his second social media post of the day about the Iowa governor. “Her Endorsement of Ron DeSanctimonious, who is 50 Points down to me in the Polls, has given him exactly ZERO ‘Bounce.’ He is a wounded bird falling violently from the sky.”
“I wonder what position Kim was promised in order to back someone who is sooo far down?” he said. He then made some dubious claims about himself before adding, “DeSanctimonious and Birdbrain did NOTHING. MAGA!!!”
Later on Sunday Trump was endorsed by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott.
