Fox’s Harris Faulkner Admits Biden Showed ‘Some of His Detractors’ He Has ‘Stamina’

Fox News’ Harris Faulkner admitted on Friday’s Outnumbered that President Joe Biden had “stamina” during Thursday night’s State of the Union address, despite savaging the speech.

“One hour and seven minutes and 17 seconds,” Faulkner said, recounting the length of Biden’s speech. “So, he reassured, I would imagine, at least on the stamina point, some of his detractors,” Faulkner said. “Some of the — within his own party, about whether he’s got the fitness to serve. He had the fitness to stand for an hour on a speech that he obviously could spew.”

Republicans and Democrats alike have questioned Biden’s advancing age, his physical fitness, and his mental acuity to serve a second term, noting that he would be 86 by the end of his presidency. Similarly, questions have been raised about presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump’s own mental acuity due to a variety of gaffes and misspeaks.

In addition to the “stamina” Faulkner said Biden displayed, she noted that “anger” seemed to be the motivating force behind his energetic speech.

Faulkner claimed that Biden used the podium to “dial in that base of just kind of basic instinct anger. Like that emotion was his driver last night. He gave no hope and compassion for the people of this country. He gave no vision to the people of this country. He stood more for border between Russia and Ukraine than he did for our border with Mexico, where millions of people have come over illegally in this country. So, I mean, if the assignment was to look angry, be angry, and court the far left — really, hold their hand — he got the assignment.”

The New York Times lauded Biden’s speech for its “spirited back-and-forth with G.O.P. lawmakers” plus “a loud and feisty delivery.”
