In a three-hour tirade on X Spaces, Rep. George Santos (R-NY) described his fall from political grace as going from “It Girl” to the “Mary Magdalene of the United States Congress,” and said he fully expected to be expelled by his fellow lawmakers.

“I don’t care! You want to expel me? I’ll wear it like a badge of honor!” Santos exclaimed on the livestream. “I’ll be the sixth expelled member of Congress in the history of Congress, and guess what? I’ll be the only one expelled without a conviction.”

Santos then accused his colleagues of outrageous behavior, like being too hungover to vote.

“I have colleagues who are more worried about getting drunk with the next lobbyist that they’re gonna screw and pretend like none of us know what’s going on and sell out the American people,” Santos exclaimed. “Not show up to vote because they’re too hungover, or not show up to vote at all and just give their card out like fucking candy for someone else to vote for them. This shit happens every single week!”

In another scathing clip, Santos claimed, “Reporters don’t care about adultery anymore and, trust me, there’s been plenty of it this Congress. But nobody writes about it anymore because George Santos is here. They should look at it this way, with George being around a lot of this shit is going under the rug because none of the reporters write about it anymore … I’m just putting that out there because I think it’s relevant.”

Santos said that although he anticipated his expulsion for ethics concerns such as allegedly using campaign funds to pay for Botox, luxury goods, and an OnlyFans account, among other things, “These people need to understand it’s done when I say it’s done, when I want it to be done, not when they want it to be done!”

Santos already announced that he will not run for re-election.
