Marjorie Taylor Greene Goes Off On Her Own Party: Voters Are ‘Sick and Tired of Republicans’ and I Am Too
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) is tired of showboating members of Congress — especially the ones in her own party.
CNN’s chief Congressional correspondent Manu Raju caught up with the vocal representative on Capitol Hill on Friday in a segment that ran on CNN Max. He shared it on his Twitter/X account and let Greene go off on her colleagues:
Republican voters across the country are sick and tired of Republicans because they never do anything to hold hold this government accountable. … Republicans go out on the campaign trail and go on TV and do their five-minute hearing videos, and posts up on social media, and say all this garbage about how they’re going to fight it and stop it. … I feel like many of the American people that think that Republicans in Congress completely failed them. I feel the same way, and I’m a Republican member of Congress.
Raju noted after playing the segment that Greene is opposed to approving an aid package for Ukraine, something that a majority of Republicans in the House and Senate support. Some support for that has waned, especially since the beginning of the Israel-Hamas War and calls to send aid to Israel, but Greene and those who agree with her on Ukraine are still in the minority. Instead, Greene has “declared war” on Mexican drug cartels.
