Marjorie Taylor Greene Rages at Trump Arming Ukraine: ‘No More U.S. Involvement In Foreign Wars!’

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) pulled no punches on Tuesday in criticizing President Donald Trump’s move to send more weapons to Ukraine this week to help counter the ongoing Russian invasion. Greene, a vocal non-interventionist, tried to block the move with a last-minute amendment on Monday night, but was rebuffed by her GOP colleagues, who also shot down a Democrat’s bid to release the so-called “Epstein Files.”
“The same Republicans in the Rules Committee, who blocked the release of the Epstein files last night, also blocked my amendment to transfer munitions to Ukraine – a NON-NATO member nation,” Greene fumed on X, highlighting two major divides between the MAGA base and the Trump administration at the moment.
“MAGA delivered the majority to Republicans and voted for no more U.S. involvement in foreign wars!” Greene continued, adding:
But now the neocons and establishment Republicans have hijacked MAGA!!
As a reminder, In September 2023, I forced the separate vote on the $300 million in the DOD approps for Ukraine.
Here’s the vote record results:
Republicans:
YEA: 101 – for funding to Ukraine
NAY: 117 – against funding to Ukraine
Democrats (the supposed anti-war party):
YEA: 210 – for funding to Ukraine
NAY: 0 – against funding to UkraineFunding war and foreign countries is NOT what we voted for!!!
And America funds NATO, so if NATO is buying American weapons, we are STILL
PAYING FOR IT!!!
Greene also slammed the Trump DOJ’s handling of the Jeffrey Epstein case in a separate post on Monday night. She fumed, “America deserves the truth about Jeffrey Epstein and the rich powerful elites in his circle. The line is drawn with anyone who abuses children and vulnerable innocent people. When George Santos is going to prison for 7 years but Epstein only served 13 months, our justice system is CORRUPT!!!”
The Republican Party continues to be roiled from the fallout of an early July memo from both the FBI and DOJ concluding that Epstein both killed himself in jail and that his long-rumored “client list” does not exist. Trump announced a new hardline against Russia on Monday, which, coupled with the Epstein fallout, continues to fracture the MAGA base that has long been against U.S. assistance for Ukraine.
