Nicolle Wallace Says Fox News ‘Purging Enemies of Their Movement’ Even Though ‘Sean Hannity Sees the World Exactly Like Liz Cheney Does’

MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace, a former Republican political operative, dug into Fox News’ ideological purity on Wednesday night, accusing the network of purging “enemies of their movement” even if they agree with them on everything but “the question of Trump.”

Wallace made the comments in a discussion with former Trump administration official, turned critic, Miles Taylor about Fox News anchor Chris Wallace leaving the network.

Taylor said, “I don’t think Chris [Wallace] has publicly said he left because Fox News was going in the wrong direction, he probably has a non-disparagement clause, he can’t say that.”

“But look at where the trend lines are going, people are starting to leave that network,” he continued, adding:

Now we should be asking the question, ‘who is still there?’ Paul Ryan is on the board at Fox, maybe having a positive influence, but why are those people staying in the orbit? They have an opportunity like Jonah Goldberg to leave, to point out the hypocrisy, and hopefully, peel some of those viewers away and back towards the truth.

Wallace then jumped in added, “You know, if you peek in on Fox News, they’re as dedicated to purging enemies of their movement as they are to defending the champions of their movement, Donald Trump.”

She continued:

And, what they have done to Liz Cheney and Adam Kinsinger, who I think privately are on truth serum. Folks like Sean Hannity see the world exactly like Liz Cheney does, he certainly has made it seem like he does for the last 20 years, but she must be purged, she must be destroyed, I’m sure they’ll give air time to her primary challengers and I wonder where you think that takes us, not just Fox enabling Trump and Trumpism, but being willing participants in purging people, not who they disagree with, not on anything, not on 9/11, not on foreign policy, not on anything, just on the question of Trump.
