Stormy Daniels Taunts Trump Hours After Judge Refused to Modify Gag Order So Trump Could Insult Her
Stormy Daniels took to social media to troll Donald Trump just hours after a judge refused to modify a gag order against the former president so he could directly target her.
“Real men respond to testimony by being sworn in and taking the stand in court. Oh…wait. Nevermind,” Daniels wrote on X, formerly Twitter, on Thursday.
Daniels took the stand in Trump’s hush money trial on Tuesday and Thursday. The adult film actress became an unusual witness as the court, at one point, took a break, and the judge warned her about overtalking and providing “irrelevant” details to the jury. Two motions to dismiss by Trump’s team were denied, but Judge Juan Merchan acknowledged Daniels had given some unnecessary details in her accounts.
Trump is facing more than 30 felony counts on charges he falsified business records to conceal hush money payments to Daniels to cover up an alleged affair. He’s denied all wrongdoing and that the affair ever happened.
Trump is not expected to take the stand at his Manhattan trial. His defense team asked on Thursday for the gag order preventing him from talking about witnesses and court staff to be modified so he could respond to some of the salacious allegations made by Daniels, but this was shot down by the judge, too.
“My concern is protecting the integrity of these proceedings as a whole,” Merchan said.
Trump has been found in criminal contempt ten times for violating his gag order thus far. The last time he was fined, Merchan warned him further violations could land him in jail, something the former president claims he’s ready for.
