Top Democrat Promises Epstein Tell-All On YouTube: ‘How It All Ties Back to Donald Trump’

Sen. Ron Wyden (D-OR), the top Democrat on the Senate Finance Committee, promised on Thursday night to reveal to the public a “full breakdown of my follow the money investigation on Epstein so far.”

Wyden posted on X that he will go live on YouTube at 9 p.m. on Thursday and explained, “How we got a look at the Treasury’s Epstein files, how it all ties back to Donald Trump, and where we go from here.”
Earlier in the month, Wyden took to the Senate floor and urged his colleagues and the public to “follow the money.”

“Last year, the Biden administration allowed our investigators to look at portions of the file. We did that at the Treasury building. Here is what it says. Treasury’s Epstein file details, Mr. President, 4,725 wire transfers,” Wyden said, addressing the Senate.

“Let me repeat that: 4,725 wire transfers, adding up to nearly $1.1 billion, flowing in and out of just one of Mr. Epstein’s bank accounts. If you ask me, that is more than 4,000 potential lines of investigation right there. Hundreds of millions more flowed through other accounts. That’s even more to investigate. The file shows that Mr. Epstein used multiple Russian banks, which are now under sanctions, to process payments related to sex trafficking,” he added.

Ahead of his YouTube livestream, Wyden’s office released a statement titled, “Continuing Epstein Investigation, Wyden Probes IRS’s Failure to Investigate Sex Trafficker’s Highly Lucrative Tax Planning Work.”

The thrust of Wyden’s statement pointed to the fact that Epstein was paid vast sums of money to do financial work he did not appear to have the qualifications to do.

“Epstein lacked any professional training or certifications in accounting or tax law, yet was chosen by very wealthy people to execute very complex tax-related financial transactions. Despite this glaring lack of qualifications that might lead anyone to double-check Epstein’s work, it appears that the IRS failed over the course of many years to audit major tax transactions involving Epstein,” Senator Wyden wrote in the statement.

“It is unthinkable that transactions amounting to tens of millions of dollars paid to a known criminal for the purpose of helping a mega-wealthy individual dodge billions in taxes were never audited or investigated,’ he added.
