Trump Refuses to Answer ‘Darling’ Female Reporter’s Question: ‘I Just Like to Watch Her Talk’

President Donald Trump took questions from reporters on Tuesday but notably refused to answer one female reporter’s question, openly commenting that he “just like[s] to watch her talk.”

Trump hosted Argentine President Javier Milei at the White House Tuesday afternoon, commenting and taking questions from reporters on a wide variety of topics, ranging from defending his planned bailout for Argentina, warning Hama to disarm, bashing New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani. and Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), attacking The View co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin, threatening to cut off federal funding for New York City, and supporting Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth’s controversial new Pentagon press policy.

As Trump wrapped up taking questions, he claimed that his White House was “closing up Democrat programs that we disagree with” and they were “never going to open again.”

As the president thanked the gathered press corps, reporters continued calling out to him. He looked up and pointed at one reporter to signal her to ask her question.

Trump grinned as she asked, “As China deepens its presence in Latin America, what role do you see for the U.S.?”

“I just like to watch her talk,” Trump, chuckling, said to Vice President JD Vance, who was seated to his right and could be heard laughing off camera.

“Good job,” Trump said to the reporter. “Good job. Thank you, darling.”

He turned back to Vance with a smile and did not answer the question.
