Trump Says ‘All Bets Are Off’ for Gaza if Hostages Not Freed by Saturday: ‘All Hell Is Going To Break Out’

President Donald Trump called on Israel to cancel its ceasefire deal with Hamas and for the country’s military to unleash “hell” on Gaza if Hamas does not release all remaining hostages by noon this coming Saturday.

Hamas and Israel brokered a deal last month that, as was written, would see all hostages taken captive during the Oct. 7, 2023, attacks freed in stages. Monday evening, Hamas threatened to postpone hostage swaps, accusing Israel of violating the agreement.

From the Oval Office, Trump called for Israel to strike if Hamas did not hold up its end of the deal. Trump told reporters:

As far as I’m concerned, if all of the hostages aren’t returned by Saturday at 12 o’clock – I think it’s an appropriate time – I would say, cancel it and all bets are off and let hell break out. I’d say they ought to be returned by 12 o’clock on Saturday. And if they’re not returned – all of them, not in drips and drabs, not two and one and three and four and two – Saturday at 12 o’clock. And after that, I would say, all hell is going to break out.

According to CNN, Hamas threatened to stall a hostage swap “until further notice” while accusing Israel of delaying the return of some to Gaza and the IDF of shelling parts of the war-torn region. CNN reported:

In response to Hamas’ threat to postpone the hostage release, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said he had instructed the country’s military to “prepare at the highest level of alert for any possible scenario in Gaza.”

The defense minister described Hamas’ move as a “complete violation of the ceasefire agreement and the deal to release the hostages.”
