Luka Doncic Grills Reporter for Tweeting About His Altercation With a Fan: You’ll ‘Always Put Something Bad Stuff About Me’
Luka Doncic let a reporter know he didn’t like the way he framed a tweet about the Dallas Mavericks star getting a fan kicked out of a game.
In the second half of the Mavs’ Wednesday game against the Phoenix Suns, ESPN reporter Tim McMahon tweeted a video of a fan in a Suns jersey walking out. According to MacMahon, the fan was approached by security and told to leave at the request of Doncic. The heckling fan reportedly told Doncic, “Get your ass on the treadmill.”

After the game, upon realizing MacMahon was in the press room for the post-game presser, Doncic confronted him.
“But I knew you would be the first one to point out something,” Doncic said, prompting MacMahon to ask Doncic what else the heckler said.
“I’m not gonna say what he said, but I knew you were gonna be the first one to put out something like that; so I just thought, ‘Man, it’s just funny.’ You always seem to be the first one to put some bad stuff about me.”
MacMahon flatly rejected Doncic’s interpretation of the situation.
“Luka, first of all, 99% of stuff I’ve written about you has been good,” he fired back. “Second of all, the guy was sitting two rows behind us.”
Other reporters came to MacMahon’s defense and said he wasn’t the only one who tweeted about the alteraction.
Still, Doncic took exception to the tweet making it seem like that was the only thing the fan said. When MacMahon asked why the fan wasn’t ejected soon, the 24-year-old claimed he simply reached his limit after hearing him all game.
“Because I never would eject a fan,” Doncic said. “They pay for tickets, but I had enough. It’s a little bit of frustration.”
