Former President Donald Trump demanded the Supreme Court step into his New York hush money case before he is sentenced for his criminal conviction.

Earlier this week, Trump was found guilty by all 34 counts by a Manhattan jury for falsifying business records regarding hush money payments to Stormy Daniels. Trump has denied any wrongdoing and claimed the trial was rigged by Judge Juan Merchan.

Following his conviction, Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) told Fox & Friends that he believes the Supreme Court would become involved in the case adding, “I think they are deeply concerned about that, as we are. So I think they’ll set this straight.”

However, on Sunday evening, Trump, who appointed three Supreme Court justices during his first-term in the Oval Office, pleaded on Truth Social for the court to get involved before he is criminally sentenced.

“The ‘Sentencing’ for not having done anything wrong will be, conveniently for the Fascists, 4 days before the Republican National Convention,” Trump wrote to his followers.

He added, “A Radical Left Soros backed D.A., who ran on a platform of ‘I will get Trump,’ reporting to an ‘Acting’ Local Judge, appointed by the Democrats, who is HIGHLY CONFLICTED, will make a decision which will determine the future of our Nation? The United States Supreme Court MUST DECIDE!”

“In a prior post on the social media app, Trump also stated, “Nobody even knew what the crime was until the Judge gave his Unconstitutional Instructions. A total Hoax! A case like this has NEVER been brought before. A Country in peril. Election Interference!!!”

The Republican nominee and convicted felon has also vowed to appeal the sentence at the state level in New York.
