Clay Travis Slams ‘Deranged’ Left Over Tesla Attacks and Vows to Buy One Himself: ‘This Is Domestic Terrorism’

OutKick’s Clay Travis announced his intention to buy a Tesla in response to recent attacks at the car company’s dealerships.

Seemingly in protest of Elon Musk’s role within the U.S. government, Tesla dealerships across the country have seen multiple vehicles vandalized and even set on fire. The attacks were likely in response to Musk’s drastic government cuts that have seen thousands lose their jobs. On Tuesday, a judge ruled that Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) may have violated the Constitution “in multiple ways” in their quest to eliminate waste from the federal government.

Appearing on Fox News on Wednesday, Travis went after Musk’s critics and revealed he’d be buying a Tesla as a show of support for the tech billionaire.

“But look, Elon was the climate change hero only a few years ago, for everybody on the left, for reinventing the way that we propel automobiles,” Travis said, “and now he’s got the ability to send spaceships to space better than NASA despite the fact that they have a 70-plus-year head start.

“He also has been a huge proponent and bastion for free speech with his purchase of Twitter/X; and [Bill Hemmer], now he’s trying to save every taxpayer money, and people on the left are so deranged when it comes to Donald Trump that they have decided to attack these Tesla vehicles.

“Here’s what I would say. I’m doing this myself. Yesterday, I told my wife, ‘Hey, I think we should buy a Tesla.’ I’m not even a huge car guy, but I respect to such a degree what Elon Musk is willing to do for this country when it comes to space, when it comes to vehicles, when it comes to free speech, when it comes to trying to save every taxpayer money — I’m one, you’re one, [Dana Perino’s] one, huge percentage of the people out there listening. I can’t believe that we would allow people to attack him in this way. Pam Bondi’s right. This is domestic terrorism; but I think people with the resources, when it comes to the vehicles that they’re going to choose, I’m going to make the choice. I’m buying one of these to support Elon because I appreciate everything he’s doing for the country.”
