CNN’s Keilar: Clinton’s ‘Quick Little Interviews’ Can’t Substitute for a Press Conference

keilar granholmCNN anchor Brianna Keilar confronted Hillary Clinton surrogate Jennifer Granholm tonight about Clinton’s hesitance to hold press conferences.

It has been over 200 days since the last time Clinton has delivered a formal press conference, and it has frustrated a lot of the people who cover her campaign.

Keilar told Granholm it’s a serious accountability issue, but Granholm insisted that “she’s on your network” and others a lot. Keilar shot back that there is a difference between short interviews with reporters and a press conference.

She pointed out that a lot of the interviews Clinton has done recently haven’t been with journalists, and of the ones that have been, “most of these are, you know, quick little interviews between 3 to 8 minutes.”

Granholm denied that Clinton is in a bubble. Keilar said, “It feels a little bubbly to me.”
