CNN’s Toobin: Obama and Clinton’s Relationships with Weinstein a ‘Real Blot’ on Their Records

CNN’s Jeffrey Toobin slammed both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama today over their past connection to Harvey Weinstein given the disturbing allegations against him.

As Toobin noted on The Situation Room, Weinstein’s behavior was “widely known.” He added, “The real question is: why were the Clintons and the Obamas so close to him during the campaigns when they were important?”

“I think this is a real blot,” Toobin continued, “on the records of both the Obama and the Clinton families––that they were so blind to this, willfully blind, for so long.”

Clinton released a condemnatory statement on Weinstein earlier today, and Wolf Blitzer immediately followed Toobin’s remarks by reading a statement out tonight from the Obamas.
