Cokie Roberts: Trump Going Back to Texas Today for a ‘Re-Do’

On Good Morning America today, ABC News political contributor Cokie Roberts said that President Trump‘s return to Texas today is a “re-do” of his visit earlier this week.

She noted the criticism Trump received for being “seen as aloof and distant,” saying, “The President understands that he has to go back.”

However, Roberts went on to make this observation:

“We know that his re-dos sometimes work and sometimes don’t. His re-do of the Charlottesville situation backfired against him, so we’ll have to see how it goes today.”
