Dave Portnoy Trashes George Clooney Over Biden on Fox & Friends: ‘Has He Wiped the Blood Off the Knife Yet?!’

Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy joined Fox & Friends on Tuesday and trashed George Clooney and other Democrats, giving their full backing to Vice President Kamala Harris following President Joe Biden dropping from his reelection campaign.

Portnoy joined Fox News after taking to social media and ranting shirtless in a captain’s hat that Democrats had “hijacked” democracy by moving Harris to the top of the ticket. The vice president is not officially the party’s nominee, but she’s secured enough delegates.

Portnoy first reacted to Clooney’s endorsement of Harris on Tuesday. Clooney brought more attention to concerns about Biden’s stamina and age when he called for him to step aside, something he reportedly did after consulting with Barack Obama.

In his endorsement of Harris, Clooney called Biden a hero who is “saving democracy.”

“Well, first thing, that Clooney quote… has he wiped the blood off the knife yet? I mean, that is unbelievable. He’s saving democracy by stepping — you assassinated, in a political sense, Biden,” Portnoy said.

He blamed Clooney and other Democrats for pushing out Biden and not embracing the opportunity to switch up the ticket.

“By the way, I don’t think George Clooney gets to endorse anybody. George Clooney’s voting. When you’re a labor union or the teachers union or police department union, you can endorse somebody. When you’re just a single guy, you’re just voting for somebody. You’re endorsing him; what does that mean?” Portnoy said.

He dismissed Harris as a “bad candidate” and blasted Clooney and others as part of the party’s “inner circle.”

“There are a lot of independents and a lot of people in the middle who would have loved the opportunity to potentially vote for a Democratic candidate that wasn’t Kamala or Joe and they stole that because this inner circle wants the power to hand pick,” he said.

Portnoy claimed he may have backed a Democratic candidate had they chosen someone fresh for the race.

“I’m not an automatic write-in [Donald] Trump guy. If I liked the Democratic candidate, I would have been interested in seeing what they have to say, but they didn’t even give anybody that opportunity,” he said.
