Did Kamala Harris Lie About Listening to Snoop Dogg and Tupac While Smoking Weed?
A fresh scandal has emerged among the Democrats running for president: Sen. Kamala Harris of California, so the scandal goes, lied about what music she listened to when she smoked weed in college.
Before you dismiss this as a silly issue, I can assure you it’s consequential.
The scandal — first covered by the likes of Breitbart and Gateway Pundit — has bubbled up into mainstream media, garnering coverage on FoxNews.com, the Daily Mail, Page Six, and countless blogs on the left and right. It was discussed on The View on Tuesday and was the topic of two Fox & Friends segments on Wednesday.
Harris’s comments were made in an interview on The Breakfast Club, the New York-based syndicated morning radio show of choice to hear rappers get ruthlessly trolled by Charlamagne Tha God. She appeared to say she listened to Snoop Dogg and Tupac when she smoked weed in college, despite her time there predating their music.
While the clip aired on Fox & Friends this morning was edited to show a truncated version of the exchange, the full video should raise doubts about what question Harris was responding to.
“What do you listen to — because I know she has to go — what does Kamala Harris listen to?” Breakfast Club host DJ Envy asked the senator.
“What were you listening to when you were high?” Charlamagne jumped in. “What was on? Was it Snoop?”
After a laugh, Harris replied, looking at Envy: “Oh yeah definitely Snoop. Tupac for sure.”
It’s hard to say which question she’s responding to directly, but it appears — despite Charlamagne’s comment — that she’s speaking to Envy. Watch the video above to see for yourself, and brace for two years of this madness.
