‘Do You Have Any Regrets?’ Fox’s Martha MacCallum Asks RFK Jr. About Relationship with Olivia Nuzzi

Fox News anchor Martha MacCallum offered Robert F Kennedy Jr. the opportunity to address the ongoing scandal regarding his “inappropriate” texting relationship with star New York Magazine reporter Olivia Nuzzi.

New York Mag editor-in-chief David Haskell sent a memo to staff last week detailing the events leading up to the scandal becoming public and Nuzzi being suspended. “We learned about the personal nature of Olivia’s relationship a few days ago. She told us it began in December 2023 (after we had published her November profile), and it ended towards the end of August; she says it was never physical, and that she avoided him as a subject and source during that period,” he wrote.

RFK Jr., who is married, has since made headlines for blaming Nuzzi for sending him explicit photos, and his allies have raised the prospect of a lawsuit. The New York Post reported this week, “Kennedy, 70, has hired security expert Gavin de Becker to probe the saga because he is allegedly pursuing civil — and potentially criminal — litigation against the 31-year-old star political reporter, according to Jessica Read Kraus, who knows them both. ‘This had nothing to do with romance,’ de Becker said of the sordid saga. ‘He was being chased by porn.’”

“So let’s talk a little bit about that. I want to give you an opportunity to address some headlines, because you seem to be surrounded by scandals and old stories that keep coming up about animals and all of this,” MacCallum began on her show, adding:

The latest one is an inappropriate relationship with a New York magazine political reporter who was covering your campaign. It’s gotten a lot of attention. So what do you say to your supporters who question your behavior and want to know what’s going on?

Below is a transcript of their exchange:

KENNEDY: I never comment on those kind of stories.

If you want to talk about health or how to end the war in Ukraine or how to end inflation and — or how to end the censorship and surveillance regime, I’m happy to talk about those —

(CROSSTALK)

MACCALLUM: But, as a person, or do you have any regrets about any —

(CROSSTALK)

KENNEDY: Like I said, I don’t make comments on it.

MACCALLUM: All right, I wanted to give you an opportunity to answer it, because it’s been out there.

But we thank you very much for being here, as always.

KENNEDY: Thank you very much for having me.
