Evan McMullin: Paul Ryan Has ‘Failed’ Leadership Test

Former Independent presidential candidate Evan McMullin told Nicolle Wallace on MSNBC this afternoon that Paul Ryan has “failed” the test of leadership.

In reflecting on the Year of Trump, Wallace wondered “where the leaders are.”

She called out the Speaker in particular for not showing more leadership in speaking out against President Trump, even taking note of the allegations against the President in the wake of scrutiny on sexual misconduct on Capitol Hill.

McMullin said we’re seeing “a true test of leadership for people like Paul Ryan,” to which Wallace immediately responded, “He’s failed!”

He agreed, citing those reports about Ryan stepping down soon and saying, “Paul Ryan has failed the test of his leadership.”
