Fox’s Jesse Watters Misidentifies Governor’s State While Discussing Biden’s ‘Diminished Faculties’

Jesse Watters misidentified the home state of South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem while discussing President Joe Biden’s “hazy memory” and “diminished faculties.”

On Thursday, Special Counsel Robert Hur issued his report detailing his investigation into the president’s retention of classified material from his days as a senator and vice president. Hur concluded that the president “willfully retained and disclosed classified materials after his vice presidency when he was a private citizen.”

The report explained that Biden should not be criminally charged in part because he has a “poor memory.” Moreover, Hur said, Biden could be viewed by a jury as a sympathetic figure. It even stated Biden “did not remember when he was vice president” and “when his son died.”

Hours later, the president held a press conference at the White House where he railed against the claim about his son.

“How in the hell dare he raise that?” Biden said.

After the presser, Watters welcomed Noem to the show.

“South Carolina Governor Kristi Noem joins us now,” Watters erroneously stated. “And we’re gonna turn around some of the soundbites from that insane press conference we just witnessed where the president almost looked like he was going to jump across and hit somebody for asking him a question. And I think he is reserving a little something special for the Special Counsel Robert Hur who just said to the American people that the president has issues mentally, uh, hazy memory, and diminished faculties.”

Noem rolled with the mistake and did not correct the host.

“He was emotional,” she said of Biden. “A statement would’ve been better. And this only made it a much, much worse situation for him. After this report came out, he just came out and proved he has diminished capacity. He couldn’t even refer to the right country with the right president in the right conflict and the right war. It was, wow, it was a lot.”
