Brian Kilmeade Blames ‘Left Wing’ Officials After Fox News Christmas Tree Gets Burned Down: ‘You Get Chaos’

Fox & Friends swiftly accused the “Left” of being soft on crime as they mourned the burning of Fox News’ Christmas tree on Wednesday morning.

Fox’s Shannon Bream broke the news overnight as she showed footage of the tree going up in flames outside the News Corp building in Manhattan, and a suspect has been placed under arrest. As Fox & Friends covered the news in the morning, Brian Kilmeade pronounced it “beyond tragic and angers everybody,” Ainsley Earhardt called it “so sad,” and Steve Doocy asked, “what kind of a person lights a Christmas tree on fire?”

Earhardt went on to reference President Joe Biden as she told viewers “we are going to rebuild [the tree] and we are going to build it back better.” As the show saluted emergency services who handled the situation, she continued to lament that “someone did this to spoil our Christmas, but that’s not going to happen. This scrooge is not going to get away with it.”

Kilmeade referred to the arsonist as a “psycho” earlier in the show, and he took the conversation in a new direction as he said “this is part of the bigger problem, it’s the crime surge in this country.”

“This is emblematic of the cities out of control, defame and defund the police, and this bail reform that has these men and women, these assailants, these suspects out before they even can finish off the paperwork,” Kilmeade said. “This is what you get if you have these left-wing DAs and officials running these major cities. You get chaos.”
