Hunter Biden Hits Back at Trump and Giuliani’s ‘Ridiculous’ and ‘Completely Debunked’ Conspiracy Theories

Hunter Biden struck back at the “ridiculous” conspiracy theories about himself as President Donald Trump and his allies try to make him the focus of the ongoing Ukraine scandal.

ABC News’ Amy Robach pressed the son of former Vice President Joe Biden over the ethical questions surrounding his work with foreign businesses in Ukraine and China over the years. Hunter has been the focal point of attacks from Trumpworld over the last few weeks, ever since it was revealed that Trump, Rudy Giuliani, and their allies tried to pressure Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky into investigating Hunter’s work with the Burisma gas company in order to hurt his father’s campaign.

As Biden defended his qualifications to serve on Burisma’s board, he faced questions about whether his position had anything to do with him being the son of America’s vice president.

“If your last name wasn’t Biden do you think you would have been asked to be on their board?” Robach asked.

“I don’t know. Probably not,” Biden answered. “I don’t think there’s a lot of things that would have happened in my life that if my last name wasn’t Biden.”

As Biden continued by slamming the “misinformation” surrounding his work, Robach asked him if he regretted his foreign business dealings.

“What I regret is not taking into account that there would be a Rudy Giuliani and a president of the United States that would be listening to this ridiculous conspiracy idea which has been completely debunked by everybody,” Biden responded. When pressed further on whether he ever thought about the optics of the situation, Biden said, “I’m a human. You know what? Did I make a mistake? Well, maybe in the grand scheme of things, yeah, but did I make a mistake based upon some ethical lapse? Absolutely not.”

The interview continued with Biden pushing back further on Trump’s claims, saying the president is claiming “crazy things that don’t have any resemblance to the reality of anything that has to do with me.”
