‘It’s Great to Be Back’: Clinton Addresses Her Health in Return to Campaign Trail

Hillary Clinton returned to the campaign trail in North Carolina today and kicked things off by saying, “It’s great to be back!”

“I recently had a cough that turned out to be pneumonia. I tried to power through it,” she said, “but even I had to admit that a few days of rest would do me good. I’m not great at taking it easy even under ordinary circumstances, but with just two months to go until election day, sitting at home was pretty much the last place I wanted to be.”

She admitted she was grateful for the small gift of taking it easy for a bit.

At one point, someone shouted “You suck!” and the crowd instantly chants “Hillary!” to drown him out.

Clinton went on to talk about how her brief sabbatical from the campaign trail made her think about how she “can afford to take a few days off” when she’s sick, but many Americans can’t.
