Joe diGenova Goes After Sen. Hirono: ‘Shut Up, Senator, Shut Up! I’m Sick of You’

On Sean Hannity‘s show tonight, former U.S. attorney Joe diGenova went after Senator Mazie Hirono for her comments to men recently amid the ongoing Brett Kavanaugh coverage.

Last week as the negotiations for Christine Blasey Ford‘s hearing were underway, after being asked about being one of only four women on the Senate Judiciary Committee, Hirono called on men to do their part and said, “I just want to say to the men of this country: just shut up and step up. Do the right thing for a change.”

Tonight diGenova first criticized Senator Dianne Feinstein, telling Hannity she “set in motion one of the great tragedies in American history.”

“She has purposely tried to ruin a good man,” he said. “But more than that, she has tried to ruin his wife and his two daughters. This is a disgraceful performance by the Democratic party.”

Then he brought up Hirono’s comments:

“And let me say this to Mazie Hirono, the Hawaiian senator, Democrat, who told all the men of America to shut up. Tonight I say to her: shut up, senator. Shut up! I’m sick of you, I’m sick of Dianne Feinstein, I’m sick of Senator Blumenthal and all the Democrats who have one thing in mind. They want power, they thirst for power, and they don’t care who they ruin in the process. This is a moment of disgrace for the United States Senate, and if they don’t confirm him to the United States Senate, the Republicans will lose the Senate. This is a national disgrace.”

Hannity remarked, “I have known you for many, many years. You’ve never told anybody to shut up in your life. Could you imagine anybody saying to any woman ever ‘shut up’ and what the reaction would have been?”
