Joe Scarborough Completely DESTROYS House GOP Opposition to Border Bill: ‘Mike Johnson to America — Go to Hell!’

Joe Scarborough is mad as hell at Mike Johnson, and he won’t take it anymore.

At issue is the House Speaker’s preemptive opposition to a bipartisan border bill, which he said was “dead on arrival” despite not having read the 370-page bill. Scarborough introduced the famously conservative editorial board at the Wall Street Journal, who strongly supported the bill in a recently published opinion piece.

Scarborough is a former House Republican, though he famously left the party as it became more aligned with former President Donald Trump. His animus towards Republican members of Congress who, in his eyes, show more fealty towards the 45th president than the country they serve. On Tuesday’s Morning Joe, he targeted Speaker Johnson with the throttle wide open.

“You have the Speaker of the House who claims that the Bible guides him. We got claims that Jesus, I guess, must have told him, I don’t know. I didn’t read this part of the sermon on the Mount, but to gain power by lying, to gain power, by pushing the big lies,” Scarborough opened before mocking Johnson’s voice with a nasal sneer.

“I guess in his Bible, God, I’ve heard about the Jefferson Bible, but the Johnson Bible, holy schnikeys, that must be some Bible that tells you to lie to, tells you to lie about elections, tells you to lie to get into power, tells you to lie, and you admit that you’re a liar,” Scarborough continued. “To get into power, to get close to Donald Trump. And now you’re lying about a bill you haven’t even read.”

The Morning Joe host then referenced the WSJ opinion piece, which he then read selected passages from, which was a full-blooded conservative endorsement of the bill that Senator James Lankford, the Republican from Oklahoma, co-authored in the good faith that he wouldn’t be backstabbed by his own party members.

The WSJ opinion piece reads, in part:

By any honest reckoning, this is the most restrictive migrant legislation in decades. Previous immigration talks have involved trading security measures for legalizing more immigration. There is little of the latter in this bill—nothing for nearly all of the Dreamers who were brought here illegally as children, no general pathway to citizenship or green cards for most illegal immigrants already in the U.S.

This is almost entirely a border security bill, and its provisions include long-time GOP priorities that the party’s restrictionists could never have passed only a few months ago. Republicans demanded border measures last year as the price for passing military aid for Ukraine, Israel and Pacific allies. Democrats resisted at first but later agreed to negotiate and have made concessions that are infuriating the open-borders left. Will Republicans now abandon what they claimed to want?

It went from bad to worse for Speaker Johnson in terms of the high-volume condemnation he received on MSNBC at that moment..

“Are you listening, Mikey?” Scarborough ridiculed the House Speaker. “Just because Donald tells you to jump doesn’t mean that you have to put America’s security at risk. Because, as the Journal says, there are parts in this bill that, quote, party restrictionist could have never passed a few months ago.”

“If Republicans reject this bill, the Wall Street Journal editorial page goes on to say, they will hand Democrats an argument that the GOP wants border chaos that they can exploit as a campaign issue,” he continued. “The chaos will continue for at least another year. The chaos will continue.”

“Mike Johnson to America: Go to hell!” Scarborough said, referencing a famous Daily News headline from the 70s. “Mike Johnson to America: drop dead!”
