Joy Reid Goes Off on Hannity, Tucker Carlson: ‘Biggest Hypocrites’ on Weinstein!

On MSNBC this morning, Joy Reid called out both Sean Hannity and Tucker Carlson for being the “biggest hypocrites” on Harvey Weinstein.

Hannity and Carlson have focused in part on NBC News this week allegedly spiking the bombshell Weinstein report that ultimately landed in The New Yorker, raising legitimate questions about the news network’s actions.

But both have also made points about Weinstein and the culpability of those around him that led to Reid calling them both incredible hypocrites:

“The two biggest hypocrites on this, I have to say, are Sean Hannity and Tucker Carlson… They had lots to say about Harvey Weinstein. And you know what? What they said about Harvey Weinstein is true. But, I mean, they’re sitting in the seats of Bill O’Reilly, sitting in his chair.”

She read one of Carlson’s tweets about this and cried, “He’s sitting in Bill O’Reilly’s chair! At Roger Ailes‘ network!”

A few minutes later in the panel discussion, Reid returned to the subject of Fox News and said “the idea that they are suddenly protective of women is shocking.”
