Larry Wilmore Reflects on Obama’s Legacy at WHCD: ‘You Did It, My N*gga’

The Nightly Show‘s Larry Wilmore took the podium at the White House Correspondents Dinner right after President Obama tonight and spent a lot of time reflecting on President Obama and his legacy.

A lot of his jokes received a pretty icy reception in the room––his shredding of Wolf Blitzer, for one, and a bunch of the other jokes he made about the press. (Don Lemon had the most amazing response.)

He also went on extended riffs about Donald Trump (“Morning Joe has their heads so far up Trump’s ass, they bumped into Chris Christie“) and that rumor that Ted Cruz is the Zodiac killer.

But at the end, he circled back to the monumental legacy that Obama has left as America’s first black president, and to go out on a pretty big note, he declared, “Yo, Barry, you did it, my n*gga.”
