Larry Wilmore Tears into Fox News for Pushing ‘Bullsh*t’ War on Cops

Last night, Larry Wilmore tried to square a poll that found 58% of Americans believe there is a “war on police” with a stat that found 2015 to have the lowest rate of officers killed on duty in decades. “That doesn’t make sense,” he said. “Overall, attacks on police are way down, yet the perception of the American people is that attacks on police are way up.”
How does that happen, according to Wilmore? “Magic.” And who’s the magician? “Fox News.”
The Nightly Show host proceeded to break down just how Fox “makes something that isn’t into something that is.” He said the network has taken “this bullshit to the next level by giving it Fox’s highest honor: official ‘war’ status.”
“In case you missed the trick, they just blamed #BlackLivesMatter for the war on cops that doesn’t actually exist,” Wilmore explained after playing a series of Fox clips. And from there, Republican presidential candidates have gone on to blame President Barack Obama. “You have to be fucking kidding me,” he added.
