Lauren Boebert Accuses Black Lawmaker of Waving ‘Pimp Cane’ at Trump

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) suggested that the Black lawmaker who yelled at President Donald Trump during a joint address to Congress is a “pimp.”

During Trump’s speech on Tuesday, Rep. Al Green (D-TX) stood and railed against possible Republican cuts to Medicaid while pointing his cane at the president. After being asked to sit, Green, 77, refused and was escorted out of the chamber. A handful of other Democrats heckled Trump throughout his speech – as Republicans had done to former President Joe Biden. Some Democrats walked out mid-address.

In a speech to Congress in 2022, Boebert repeatedly interrupted Biden by shouting from her seat.

Appearing on the far-right Real America’s Voice News, Boebert said her behavior was different from Green’s.

“And even you had some folks on the left trying to come out early and defend this behavior and compare it to an image of Marjorie Taylor Greene and myself, who were chanting ‘Build the wall’ while all other Republicans were chanting the same phrase,” Boebert said. “And they just got that one image and acted like we completely disrupted the State of the Union. But Al Green was given multiple opportunities to stand down, to sit down, to behave, to show decorum. And he did not.”

She added, “[F]or him to go and shake his pimp cane at President Trump was absolutely abhorrent.”

Boebert is no stranger to public outbursts. In 2023, the congresswoman and a date were ejected from a production of Beetlejuice the musical after she was seen vaping and groping her date’s crotch. Upon being removed from the theater, she reportedly told security, “Do you know who I am?”
