‘Let Me Finish! This Is Ridiculous!’: Fox Panel Gets Heated Over Black Lives Matter Protest
A Fox News panel this afternoon on Black Lives Matter protests in Chicago ended up getting heated after one of the guests objected to how everyone else was covering them.
Protesters gathered today in Chicago for a big Black Friday protest, but Fox’s Trish Regan wondered if this really helps advance their cause. Christi Kunzig and Gianno Caldwell agreed it doesn’t, with Caldwell noting protesters like these have lacked “real policy presciptions.”
Stewart Acuff, a former organizing director for the AFL-CIO, argued there is a serious need to address policing and race issues, but when Regan jumped in, he cried, “Let me finish! This is ridiculous! You cut me off when I just started!”
Acuff asked, “How many black kids need to be murdered before we see it as a problem?!”
He kept going back and forth with Regan and objected to how the protesters were being characterized.
Kunzig said that raising awareness shouldn’t be done “by adding more racial tension.” Acuff shot back, “Black kids are being murdered across America and in Chicago and what is more important to protest than that?!”
