Lou Dobbs: George W. Bush Was a Liberal
Fox Business Network host Lou Dobbs said on his show Thursday night that former President George W. Bush, Republican and sworn enemy of progressives, was actually a liberal.
Dobbs called Former President Barack Obama a “radical left winger,” before asking his guest, Wall Street Journal editorial page assistant editor James Freeman, about Bush:
“[He’s] a radical… What would you call him? A liberal himself… He wasn’t a conservative.”
“He grew government in a big way,” Freeman conceded.
Dobbs added that unlike President Donald Trump, both Obama and Bush were supporters of free trade. Later in the segment, Dobbs reiterated his claim, calling Bush and Obama “disasters.”
“You blinked when I said that Bush was a liberal, not a conservative!” Dobbs chided Freeman.
“He’s certainly a guy who grew government a lot,” Freeman noted.
“And debt a lot, and attacked the wrong countries,” Dobbs said with a laugh. “By the time you get through with that administration you wonder what the hell we’ve been going through for the last 30 years!”
