Lou Dobbs: It’s a ‘Testament to the President’ That GOP Didn’t Lose More Seats in the House

Fox Business Network’s Lou Dobbs said last night’s midterm results show “the blue wave ran into the Trump wall.”

Dobbs gave President Donald Trump credit for helping “minimize the Dems’ overall gains.”

Trump did enjoy some success last night, particularly in certain big Senate races, but the House is now in the hands of the Democrats and Nancy Pelosi is expected to be Speaker again.

Dobbs, however, argued that Trump deserves credit for the blue wave not being larger:

“If the numbers were to hold [in undecided races], the Dems would have a 228 to 207 majority. For the Republican Party to lose only 34 seats is a testament to the president. Consider that in 2010, President Obama’s Democrats in his first midterm election lost 63 seats on their way to losing control of the House.”

He brought up the Senate results before praising Trump again and saying, “Gaining seats in the Senate during a midterm election while losing House seats is extremely rare in American history, but President Trump seems to have done exactly that.”
