Louis C.K. Makes Devastatingly Hilarious Case Against America’s ‘Toxic’ Smartphone Culture
Comedian Louis C.K. is one of the most reliable talk show guests on the planet. Whether he’s mocking Jay Leno to his face or discussing rape jokes with Jon Stewart, you can always count on him to say something both hilarious and profound.
Last night was no different when C.K. sat down with his old friend, and Late Night boss, Conan O’Brien to reminiscence about the old days and talk about how much has changed since they first worked together in the early ’90s. But the moment that really broke through and could live on as one of C.K.’s most brilliant observations on life came he started discussing one of his favorite topics: modern technology.
What began as an explanation for why his two young daughters do not have cellphones ended up taking C.K. through an emotional journey that involved hearing Bruce Springsteen on the radio and crying in his car on the side of the road. No summary could do C.K.’s story justice, so you’ll just have to do yourself a favor and watch the whole thing.
