Mika Defends Snowy Klobuchar Event: Trump Wouldn’t Even Stand in the Rain to Honor Fallen Troops
Morning Joe host Mika Brzezinski ripped the apparent softness of the Commander in Chief during a quick report on a recent very snowy and could outdoor event.
Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) announced her candidacy for President this weekend in a very snowy outdoor event in Minneapolis this weekend, which drew the attention of President Donald Trump.
The freezing temperatures and significant snowfall may have led other candidates to postpone or cut short an outdoor announcement, but nonetheless, she persisted, which drew praise for the Democratic senator from the predictable left of center outlets. The president, however, saw this as an event worthy of his mockery.
Trump tweeted Sunday:
Well, it happened again. Amy Klobuchar announced that she is running for President, talking proudly of fighting global warming while standing in a virtual blizzard of snow, ice and freezing temperatures. Bad timing. By the end of her speech she looked like a Snowman(woman)!

Trump appears to confuse climate change with weather in his ridiculous Tweet above.
Brzezinski defended Klobuchar saying “looking at her standing in subzero temperatures with the snow blowing down on her face and everyone freezing and wanting to be there for her.” She then added, “Donald Trump would no sooner stand in the snow with his bone spurs getting sore because of the cold.”
Joe Scarborough chimed in, noting the light sprinkling of rain that kept Trump from attending a WWI memorial event in France.
“Correct,” Mika exclaimed, adding “he wouldn’t even stand in the rain.”
